Our Beliefs

  • We believe the Scriptures, both Old and New Testament, to be the inspired Word of God without error in the original writings. The Bible is the complete revelation of His will for the  salvation of people, as well as the divine and the final authority for every Christian’s life  and faith.

    (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:21)

  • We believe in one God who created all things in six days and rested on the seventh. He is infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

    (Matthew 3:16-17; 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14)

  • We believe that Jesus Christ is wholly God and wholly man, having been conceived of the  Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins according to the Scriptures. His body arose from the dead, ascended into heaven, where He is now our High Priest and Advocate seated at the right hand of the Father.

    (Matthew 1:18; John 20:20; Acts 1:9-11; Hebrews 4:14-16; Philippians  2:5-8)

  • We believe that the Holy Spirit is co-equal with God in all His attributes and a part of the Holy Trinity. He was sent by the Lord Jesus Christ from the Father to regenerate, indwell, guide, and teach believers. He also convicts and empowers those believers to live in victory over sin.

    (John 15:26; 16:7-8, 13)

  • We believe that mankind was created in the image of God but fell into sin and is therefore lost. Only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit and the grace of Christ Jesus can salvation and spiritual life be secured.

    (Genesis 1:26; Romans 5:12; 3:23)

  • We believe that the shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provides the only  means for justification and salvation for all who believe. Only those who trust in Jesus Christ are born again by the Holy Spirit and thus become children of God.

    (Ephesians 1:7; 2:8; 1 Peter 1:3; 1 Peter 2:24)

  • We believe that baptism with water and communion are the sacraments to be observed by the church during the present age. They are, however, not to be regarded as a means of salvation. We practice believer’s communion with all who proclaim Jesus as Lord and offer baptism to any who wish to commit their life to Him.

    (Matthew 28:19-20; Colossians 2:12)

  • We believe that Christ’s Church is composed of all such persons, who through saving faith in Jesus Christ, have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and are united together in the body of Christ of which He is the Head. Its mission is to exalt the Lord, edify the saints, and evangelize the lost.

    (Matthew 16:18; Ephesians 1:22-23; 4:1-12)

  • We believe in the actual, premillennial, and imminent coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. This “blessed hope” has a vital bearing on the personal life and conscience of the believer.

    (Titus 2:13; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Revelation 20:1-6)

  • We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead; of the believer to everlasting  blessedness and joy with the Lord and of the unbeliever to judgment and everlasting conscious punishment.

    (Revelation 20:11-15; 2 Corinthians 5:10)
